About

Hi there! I'm Luca.đź‘‹

My journey in the digital world began in 2008, at the age of 8, when I created a blog about Club Penguin and started experimenting with web development. This sparked my passion for technology and online communities.

A few years later, in 2011, I discovered Minecraft, and by 2013, I had launched my first Minecraft server. By 2017, I owned and operated the largest Minecraft network in Brazil, which peaked at 8,115 concurrent players. Leading a talented team of developers and game designers, we provided an engaging platform for a thriving community of over 300K monthly players.

In 2022, I transitioned away from Minecraft to fully focus on advancing my career as a Software Engineer. I am now pursuing a degree in Software Engineering at PUC Minas, channeling my skills and experience into new challenges and projects.

Senior Product Engineer

OneRailOrlando, United States

Jul 2025 – Present

1 yr 3 mos

Built and continue to evolve Freight Audit & Pay, OneRail’s platform for shipper and logistics provider invoicing and dispute management. The platform handles invoicing for millions of deliveries each month, with individual invoices containing hundreds of thousands of delivery records. Engaged full-time through Limestone Digital.

  • Joined a two-engineer team that pioneered end-to-end application development with AI at OneRail. The pilot’s results helped inform the company’s decision to adopt AI as a core engineering tool across all teams.
  • Drive product discovery and technical delivery with product stakeholders, technical leaders, and internal auditors. Facilitate requirements discussions, clarify business constraints, and propose improvements informed by direct feedback from internal and external users.
  • Design and maintain distributed services in .NET 10 and Node.js, alongside a React frontend, integrating MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake. Develop asynchronous processing and background jobs for invoice population, data synchronization, cost updates, and approval workflows.
  • Solve scalability challenges across data processing, invoice generation, and retrieval, making millions of delivery records accessible through the application.
  • Serve as a main maintainer of the shared .NET monorepo, improving CI/CD pipelines, automating SDK generation, and developing shared libraries used across teams.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, team leads, and engineers across the United States, Poland, Colombia, and other European locations to align architecture, engineering patterns, and integrations. Work entirely in English.

Founder & Tech Lead

Mineland NetworkBelo Horizonte, Brazil

Jul 2014 – Aug 2015

1 yr 2 mos

At 14, I started Mineland Network with friends, turning our enthusiasm for Minecraft into a community that grew to more than 500 concurrent players across five custom game modes.

This was where I first learned Java and the fundamentals of programming, building features that people played every day. It was also my introduction to web development, running an online store selling VIP packages and virtual currency, and working with content creators to bring new players to the server.

Behind the scenes, I learned to use Linux through the terminal and set up a dedicated server to host our games, website, databases, and supporting services. Working alongside friends, I got my first experience with everything involved in building, running, and promoting an online product.

Mineland was the first time I earned money from something I helped build. Seeing hundreds of people enjoy what we created together made a lasting impression on me and laid the foundation for my career in software engineering.
